Serious injuries

Ana walked into the infirmary, her arm cut up from a mishap at the arena earlier, but honestly the guy did deserve it. She made it clear of her preference and the guy still tried to kiss her, was it any wonder that she would get hurt kicking his ass into place? She sighed and dusted off her black and white striped shirt, her mime shirt as she put it, and leaned down, dusting off her red skinny jeans. She walked over and asked one of the Apollo girls for a quick bit of first aid that nectar or ambrosia be a waste for. The girl soon had her arm wrapped up and was soon to leave when she stopped, seeing a girl, full of pain, laying in one of the beds. Ana felt bad, seeing the girl and walked over to her, "Hey, you...ok?" She asked, feeling stupid for that being the only thing she could think of.

Femi had been there for the past three days. The girl had just woken up a couple hours ago and was able to tell everyone what happened and her name and such. She looked up at Ana with a sore expression. "They say I will be.. But right now, it definitely feels like the opposite is true." Femi winces slightly but grins painfully up at her. "I'm Femi, by the way.."

"What...happened to you?" Ana asked her calmly. The daughter of Chronos sat down in a chair next to Femi's bed and stared at her, eyes filled with concern for the girl's well being.

"Some punk rock chick who looked quite upset and something or another lost track of a very fast moving blade.. And the blade embedding itself into me." Femi shrugged slightly and sighs. "Wrong place at the worst time I suppose."

Ana's thoughts went to that girl she hooked up with in New York. She didn't want to think it, but the girl didn't leave her mind as a possible suspect. Either way it didn't matter right now. "I'm sorry this happened to you." She said to Femi, her hand gently grasping the injured girl's hand.

Femi smiles and squeezes the girls hand gently. "Eh I'm alright.. I'm only worried about my pet.."

"Well.. He's not really a pet.. He is more like a guardian.. His name is Amun and he is a giant scorpion." Femi smiles awkwardly, hoping the idea to go over smoothly. "He is probably in my cabin waiting.."

Ana listened, finding it kinda interesting that she had a scorpion as her guardian. "Would...you like me to go check on Amun for you? Or stay here and keep your company?" She asked Femi, not wanting to leave rudely.

Femi thought for a moment, debating how Amun would react to the unknown company. She nodded. "Ok.. Tell him OJufemi sent you and to come to the infirmary with you. Man this is gunna hurt..." The last bit of information she sort of just mumbled to herself. Femi told the girl which cabin she is in and what bunk is hers. "It's a really big scorpion probably on my bed..."

Ana smiled and gently squeezed Femi's hand, before standing and leaving briefly. "I'll be back soon." She said and then left, returning a little while later with the scorpion following her. Ana kept a weary glance on the creature after it tried to attack her on site in Femi's cabin.

(Curse alert, one curse word near the bottom.)

Femi smiles brightly at the scorpion and she spoke to it. When she spoke it didn't sound even remotely human but it did sound endearing. The scorpion responded, making very the same noises that Femi had before crawling in her bed. Femi looked up to Ana. "You should look away for a moment.." The giant beast began to dig into her skin, seemingly wedging itself between the layers of her skin and her muscle. Femi grinded her teeth and resisted the urge to scream out as Amun returned itself to her body. It took only a moment but it felt like an eternity of pain to Femi. Amun settled itself in her body, leaving behind no traces of the process except the dark scorpion shaped tribal markings that marked where the beast lay in her. The marking this time wrapped around her torso, mostly on her left side and chest. Amun avoided the gash in her back. "Ok I'm done.." The girl sat up, her breast covered only by the bandaging that helped secure the dressing on her back. With a grunt she slid out of bed. Her jaw tightened with every painful movement but she was sore and wanted out of the infirmary. Femi was wearing dark red basketball shorts and her bandaging, which when paired with her markings and the look of pain he wore made her seem very badass. The egyption demigod brushed her thick hair out of her face and smiled at Ana. "Thank you."

Ana heard Femi speak to the beast and turned away when she said to do so, unable to resist the urge to look back and see the ending of the process of Amun becoming a tattoo on her skin. She turned back around when Femi was ready and Ana quickly went to her aid and helped her out of the bed. Ana felt slightly attracted, but she didn't try anything on the injured girl, only allowed Femi to prop herself up on her. "You're welcome." She answered Femi and gave her a brief peck on the cheek, acting like it never happened when she pulled away.

Femi smirked and leaned slightly on the other girl. "I gotta go to my cabin.. I need a change of clothes.." She stretches her back and grunts slightly. "Ouch." Waving goodbye, Femi jogged away from the girl.

Daz ran in to the infirmary carrying his bleeding girlfriend, and set her down on the first available bed. He rummaged through drawers and cabinets untik he found ambrosia, and gave a piece of it to Zero. Thenbhe found a suture kit. He woukd jeed to clean the wound with a bit of nectar and possibly sew it up, dependingbon how well it healed from the god juice. He wasn't sure how lucid she was, or he would have asked her to do it... but he took her shirt off to be abke to get a better view of the wound. Right now, his eyes didn't stray, as he was too focsued on her open wound.

Zero coughed as soon as she was set down, and tasted even more blood in her mouth. That stab had definitely torn through an organ or two going in, and maybe an additional one going out. In any case, it was painful as all hell. She ate as much ambrosia as she thought she could stand, which was about half the small amount Daz had given her. One of the disadvantages of being the child of a minor goddess. It probably wouldn't be enough to heal the internal damage, but she could feel her insides squirming as the organs tried to knit back together. And it wouldn't help the headache, the ever-present headache, the one that pushed and pushed and pushed for her to kill Jane. At this rate, she'd never be freed from it.

Daz wished that it was the full moon; then he'd be able to see her organs clearly, rather than having to squint as he was. He had previous experience with cutting open and gutting animals, but this was the inverse. He had to make sure it made Zero better. He decided to apply small amounts of nectar to the areas he assumed had ruptured organs. Maybe that would work... and if not, he would have to call one of those stupid kids of Apollo. Heblooked around for some kind of painkiller, and gave a little pill off one to Zero. It wouldn't be kuch, but it was better than nothing. Then, he started sewing her uo where she'd been cut. This way, the healing woukd, hooefully, be focused on her insides. It took him longer than hebhad expected, mainly because he was trying to be gentle. Whenbhe was done, he took a few deep breaths and sat down. He hadn't yet washed the blood off his hands, and when he stopped to thinkbof that, he almost cried. This was Zero's blood...

Zero swallowed the pill given to her without hesitation. She wasn't sure what it was, though it was probably Tylenol or something, but she trusted Daz, and he wouldn't give her something dangerous. It didn't take effect immediately, unfortunately. It'd probably be at least half an hour. She tried not to wince too much as Daz began to sew the gaping hole in her gut back together. It was highly uncomfortable. Her fist clenched tightly around the blanket underneath her, despite her efforts to appear unphased. It would upset Daz if he knew how much pain she was in. Which was why she'd done her best to hide the headaches ever since they started to escalate into significant pain. It seemed that the longer it took to bring about justice, the worse they got. It had been at least a year since they'd started flaring up like this.
Once Daz was finished sewing her up, Zero managed to unclench her hand. She didn't bother trying to smile, it would end up pathetically. But he looked so upset, she needed to think of something to do to pretend she was fine. She couldn't think of anything.

After a few seconds, Daz got up and washed his hands vigorously. He didn't want to have Zero's blood on him anymore. Then he looked for some kind of sleeping pill. Itbwould probably be better if Zero slept for a while to recoger her strength. While he looked, he asked, "Do you feel any better? " He figured it was a pathetic question, and she would probably lie, but he asked it anyways. He just hated seeing her so weak. She was usually so energetic. Although, recently, her headaches had been getting a whole lot worse. At first she hid it really well, but theyveither got sreonger or she got worse at hiding it. Her inner revenge meter was going crazy, and Daz was trying his best to help her, but it was just... difficult.

"Yeah, I'm fine," Zero exaggerated. She wasn't feeling fine in any means of the word, but she was feeling a little better. At least, she didn't feel like her insides were made of snakes anymore. Sitting up would be a bad idea, but she wanted to, to show some sort of visible sign of improvement. Wait a second, where had her shirt gone?! She felt vaguely embarrassed, and turned her head so that Daz wouldn't see her blushing. It had probably been necessary for him to remove it so that it wouldn't get in the way while treating her wound. But it still felt... very... kjhgkhg-ful.

Daz found a bottle of sleeping pills, and put it on the table next to Zero. She was obviously lieing through her teeth about being fine. He thought about saying something like , "Yeah, you're fiiiiine" in a very implying voice, but didn't. Instead, he just sat down on the side of the bed very gently and looked down at her. He saw that she'd looked away from him, and wondered why. Then he remembered that she wasn't wearing a shirt, and found himself staring for a moment too long before his eyes went back up to her face, and he put a hand on her cheek. "I'll make sure you get better." He said softly. He just haooened to be dodging the question of whether she wanted her shurt back or maybe a new one or...

Zero placed a hand over Daz's, the one that was on her still-burning cheek. He could probably feel the warmth, which was embarrassing in and of itself. What had he set down over there? Zero reached out with her free hand and picked up the bottle, then brought it close enough to read. The label was in demigod-friendly Greek, which was great. They were sleeping pills, apparently. Were they safe to take with painkillers? She turned the bottle sideways and read the tinier letters along the edge. Apparently it was alright. "I know you will. Can I have some water or something?" Taking pills without water was difficult, and she needed something to drink to get the taste of blood out of her mouth anyways.

Daz sniled. "Nope, sorry. We're all out. "He joked, and got up and found a fridge, which had bottled water inside. He took one out and opened it, then took it over to Zero. He put it into her hand and, when she was done with the pills and the water, put bith on the bedside table. He went to the linen closet and pulled out a fresh sheet and unfolded it, and put it over her. That ought to give her some level of privacy. Obviously, Daz had no need to sleep, so he could just... sit here and wait for her to waje up again.

Zero had to sit up slightly to take the pills, since she couldn't drink water while laying down. Once she'd swallowed the things, she let Daz take what was in her hands and lay back down again. Ugh, that had hurt. It was a little cold, lying there without a shirt, and she was glad that Daz thought to get a blanket for her. Was he feeling as flustered about the partially unclothed state she was in as she was? Probably more so. The sleeping pills were already starting to kick in, or maybe she was just tired.
"You're going to be very bored, sitting there," she stated. At least when they went to sleep in the cabin the beds were comfy and Daz could play with the cats or go off on his own nighttime adventures. But right now, he was probably planning on staying here to watch over her.

Daz smiled. "I'll be fine. Just get some rest, Zero." He said, and kissed her forehead softly. He tried to think of what he could do. Normally he would have a book to read or something. He would dobsome kind of work out, but he had just been hunting, and then carried Zero here. He'd done enough today. Maybe a cooldown type exercize would work. He could try yoga or something.
