Shane could see that she was easily startled and sat down next to her. "You don't have to be all jumpy. If I wanted to hurt a blind girl I could do it easily." He told her.

I prop myself up on my knees feeling offended by his comment even though it was true. I just keep my head down and my mouth shut.

Shane could tell then that he had hit a nerve..or insulted her by accident. "Hey, I'm..sorry for offending you. I wasn't trying to insult you or anything." He explained to her.

"Whatever I need to go," I say standing up then walked away not paying attention and run into another dummy not to far from the first. Well that was the most humiliating thing ever. Onicka would say this proves her point on my protection.

Shane watched as this happened. He couldn't feel any insulting feelings about her, just watching this was purely sad. He sighed and got up, dusting himself off. "Do you need some help?" He asked her.

"No," I say harshly. 'Why does everybody think I need help. Because you walk around like an idiot nearly getting killed and running into things.'

Shane shrugged at her harsh response. "Sorry for making you so mad." He called out to her and then unsheathed his sword and slashed at a dummy or two.

I'll just have to sit here a while. Maybe Onicka will come and find me. If she does though I'm surely dead. She's going to freak out when she wakes up and I'm not in my cabin.

After taking the head off a few more dummies, Shane grew bored and sheathed his sword, walking over to the girl. He knew she could hear him walking over, but it's not like he was even trying to be sneaky. Sitting down in front of her, he said, "My name's Shane Redford."

"Density Hywae," I say politely I had to be nice to make up for how rude I was being. It wasn't his fault for my loss of sight. It wasn't anybody's.

"Were...you born blind? Or was there an accident?" He asked her. He felt kinda awkward about it though because it was invading his personal information and she might not be so kind about being asked those kinds of questions.

"My own stupidity," I say bitterly. I was such an idiot child full of problems. Maybe if my family watched me more when I was younger they wouldn't have to now.

Shane raised an eyebrow at her comment. "What...do you mean?" He asked her, hesitant to do so because he didn't want to make her angry

Shane didn't really quite understand, all he got was that it was a mistake in her past. He figured that's all he would understand about the situation as well. He sighed somewhat silently. "Time's like this are when you wish you could go back and change the past." He muttered

"Maybe if I wasn't such an idiot child when my family found me mature they wouldn't treat me like an idiot child now," I say thinking about Onicka who was probably having a panic attack right now. Stupid past choices make stupid present moments.

Shane looked up at her and scooted closer to her, sitting next to her. "It sounds like you're the black sheep of your family...never getting any recognition at all." He told her based off what she had been repeating about not being such an idiot and having her family actually pay attention to her.

"They used to never pay attention to me when I was a child. Until I lost my sight now I'm not even supposed to be out of their sight and I have to do what they tell me to. My sister's probably freaking out right now because I'm not in my cabin."

Shane looked around the arena to make sure he wasn't about to be attacked from out of nowhere for trying to get with Density. Definitely not something that was on his mind. "Do you want to go back to your cabin? I can understand if you don't." He said to her.

"Hell no! That will just prove my sister right that I can't do anything. I don't even know how to navigate on my own because the only time I wasn't having somebody hold my hand and walking me every was when I was alone in my bedroom," I start venting to him. I know I barely met him but he was a good listener.

Shane nodded at her hatred of the idea of going back to her cabin. "Is there somewhere that you do want to go?" He asked her calmly.

"I don't know anywhere here my sister usually drags me around. She never really tells me where we are just what to do," I say honestly.

Shane hummed to himself making a hmmm sound as she told him this. He smirked slightly and then wrapped an arm around her shoulder, helping her stand up. 'Come on. I'm giving you a tour of this place so that you know where you are next time you run off from your sister.." He said to her.

"Sounds good," I say smiling, "I'll just need a little help so I don't run into anything." This would be great finally someone who doesn't see me as a poor defenseless blind girl. Finally.

Shane smiled. "That's the point behind me giving you the tour. So you don't run into anything." He said to her and laughed a little bit, leading her out of the arena.
