The Topic That Shall Hold All of My Writing

I might just edit this rather than adding new stuff, and for longer story bits I'll probably make a new topic. Don't expect constancy, if you really like it. Do expect nonfluidity if you dislike it, though.

First off, a crappy poem.

Set Me Free

If I could be forever free
The world would pass by endlessly
This terrible, awful, ruined mess
About which I could really care less
The love, the lies, the awfulness
I only dream of that one sweet kiss. .

Freckles speckled 'bout her nose
Eyes like tree bark, lips of rose
Push her hair back, hold her close
Lift her right up off her toes
Rocking slightly, lovely lull
Feel the 'traction, feel the pull

Won't you come a little closer to me?
Could you, beauty, set me free?

And another poem that's kind of like that one. .

To Be Free

If dreams became reality
Then I could live more simply
It'd be a world of ease
I wish it. .Yes, please. ?

I sit here and hope and dream
But life is just as it seems
The world's unhappy, bitter, cruel
It makes me like a total fool.

To rock and roll and live on high
As the world just passes by
Life is such a perplexity
All I want is to be free.

I forgot to comment on this earlier, but woah o_o. This is really good! I love the rhyme scheme of the first one.

I totally just noticed that the second stanza has the refleftion rhyme scheme of the first stanza. I just wrote that one because I was feeling poetic and was missing someone, I didn't think about rhyme scheme during it.

Your Red Balloon

One red balloon drifts
From the hand of an innocent child
The child cries
The mother comforts
The balloon ascends
Only one girl looks up
To watch it soar
Her hope has left her
Stranded on the shore
What hope she finds
In the radiant balloon
Is hers alone
She'll watch its flight
Until it's gone
The love that left her
Is sprung anew
Don't ask how
The balloon could kinder
Such wonderful things
In a weary, hurt soul
Just know if you're hurt,
Troubled, or down
I can always be
Your Red Balloon

This one following was supposed to be deep or something.

To one man on a rooftop
The world is far below
To one ant on his anthill
the world is far below
For the man on the rooftop
The ant is but a speck
For said speck on the anthill
The man blots out the sun
So I ask of you
Which view you choose
Are you the ant,
Or are you the man?
