"You do not have to come if you do not feel like walking in circles for hours," I said. I could at least find my way back here if I became excessively lost. Probably.

"I'm not going to leave you to wonder around and get lost again." I said firmly. Actualy reason? I had the feeling I'd get lost and/or murdered if I walked around alone.

"Oh, alright then. If you want to wear your shoes down that badly, come along." I got up out of my chair and grabbed the handle of my suitcase, as well as tapping the foot of the table with the end of my cane.

I grabbed onto her wrist again and walked beside her, smiling to myself.

I did not move. "Dez, I sort of need to tap around with my cane to remember where everything is."

"Sorry. Habit." I let go of her wrist and put my hands in my pockets, slouching slightly as I walked.

"It's already a habit?" I walked after her, tapping the ground with my cane, and mentally counting the steps I took.

"Hmmmm." I had to change direction slightly when my cane hit the leg of a chair. Thank goodness I didn't end up running into it.

Vicis entered the mess hall after a leisurely day guarding the maintenece tunnel entrance. His stomuch grumbled for anything that was decked in cheese and meat, anything would satistfy him but meat and cheese was on the mind. He made his way to the table decked with food, it was mexican night apperently, that meant lots of meat and cheese, and the choices were to die for, lucky ol' Vic. He grabbed a plate full of nachoes covered in thick cheese and saucy meat and made his way to a table. He sat down and began consuming his food slowly, but ravagously.

I blink from my space out. "Hey. You guys going somewhere?" I ask the girls, wanting for something to happen. I glance over at the kid that just walked in, and tried to ignore him.

"Oh! Yes, we're going to go explore. Do you want to come along?" I asked, slowing down in my tracks.

I walk up to her. "Sure. But can I ask that kid over there to come? I kinda want another boy there."

"Not scary, just....yes..yes, girls are scary." I gave her a pleading look. I was desperate, and male company would be nice.

"Ah. Alright then, if he wants to join us, whoever it is can. I guess. Is that alright with you, Dez?" I thought that I should make sure that Dez was okay with the prospect of more company before inviting other people to walk around with us.

"Thanks." I walked over to the kid (Dovah's Charrie who posted on the other page and I'm too lazy to check his name) and asked him, "Hey dude, wanna come..er..explore with me and 2 girls?" The boy wasn't Kaden's image of a friend, but he would do.

"Yeah, I guess." I said in a cheerful tone while I mentally pouted. Boys were idiots.

Vic finished his meal after a few minutes, wiped his mouth clean of sauce and cheese with a napkin and then heard a guys' voice. It was a guy, few years older then him by the looks of it, and a very nervous looking one at that, odd for a guy his age. He saw two girls near him, one was a normal-looking girl, but the other had a blindfold over her eyes. It didn't raise Vics' curiousity, he had seen plently of people at New Rome, and at camp with war wounds, she probably just lost her eyes in battle or it was some sort of birth defect she had, and she was kind of self-conscious about showing it. Either way he wasn't one to slander people for the way they looked, so he acted as friendly as he always was. He listened to the guys' question and answered, "Explore eh? Hmmm sure why not, I know a place or two we could check out, names Vicis by the way, but you can call me Vic." He stuck his hand out for the guy to shake, and he gave off a friendly smile.

Kaden mentally sighed in relief. The guy was normal. He shook Vic's hand. "Kaden Mcmally, Son of Disciplina." He grinned and walked over to the girls. "Alright, it's all good. Where to?" Kaden wiped his sweaty hands on his jeans.
