Altant kisses Blake back, wanting to forget what had happened before. She wraps her arms around his neck, holding him close to her.

(Blake) I hug her back. I feel tears begin to trickle down my cheeks. Not now....Don't start crying now. I hold her close to me and whisper in her ear. "I'm sorry for not being there for you. I got caught up in that stupid group and just happened to ignore you."

"It's okay," she says softly, holding Blake even closer to her. "I can't expect you to spend every moment of your life with me."

I smile and kiss her. I feel my face heat up as I realize that everyone is staring at us. My hand clenches on the handle of my hammer and I feel my muscles cramp slightly. I look into Altant's eyes and lose my mind in them. They seem to absorb all the pain and I fall deeper into her eyes and I feel my heart race as I see her pain in there. She's upset because of it still. I hurt her badly. How could I of made her so upset?

Altant stares into Blake's eyes, wishing she could just stay that way forever. She notices something in his eyes, though. Something off. "Blake, what's wrong?" she asks softly. "And don't tell me that nothing's wrong, because I know that something is."

I look at her for a second longer and then turn away. I couldn't bear to look at someone that I had hurt so badly. "It's just that you are in pain. I made you upset and now I don't know how to fix that."

Altant smiles sadly and kisses Blake's cheek lightly. "Just forget it ever happened," she whispers, her lips right by his ear. "That's the best either of us can do..."

I force a smile that looks pained. I say softly "It's not that easy. I didn't mean to hurt you and now that I did it's going to haunt me for a long time."

Altant sighs as her grip on Blake loosens slightly, defeat in her eyes. "Nothing's ever that easy," she whispers, her vision getting blurred by tears. "I, of all people, should've known that..."

I snap back to the real, if not painful world. I look at Altant and say "No......I still love you and will not give up on you."

Altant rests her head on Blake's shoulder as tears start streaming down her cheeks, wishing that she could just run away without feeling any regret, without feeling the guilt of hurting Blake.

I see Altant cry and I feel like a jerk. I look at her just slightly upset and say "Hey....I didn't mean to upset you."

"I know," Altant says quietly. A few moments later, she asks, "Do you ever get the feeling where you just want to run away from life, but without hurting anyone?"

I sigh and think. "Yeah, I guess I have before. But only once when it was just me and my mom. I never wanted to run away from you so if that is what you are thinking then no."

"I'm just sick of all the drama. I want to leave camp, but I can't stand the thought of leaving you..." she whispers quietly.

(Blake) I stop and feel my heart beat a melody of three beats and then stop as I realize what I am about to say. "It's ohkay. I will be fine if you need to leave." My heart leaps into my throat as I wait for her reply.

"You have no idea what it would do to me," she says quietly. "I've always wanted someone who cares about me. I told myself that it didn't matter, but I don't know how I'd survive without you..."

"You...You'd do that?" Altant asks quietly, gratefully, even.

I smile and say "Yeah, yaeh I would. If it would make you happy then I would do anything to keep you that way." I lean over and kiss Altant softly on the lips. "So?"

"I would like to leave," Altant says softly. "But only if you want to. I'm not leaving you."

I smile and stand up. I take Altant's hand and say just as softly "I will go with you. I don't have any other reason to be here other than you so yeah I will go." I turn and walk out with Altant.

Sage secured all the medical supplies and went back out to tend to the barricade.
