One of these poem's was written for language arts and the other i wrote just a few minutes ago out of boredom.
Today was an interesting day
Today I had such a horrible time
so horrible, it’s causing me to rhyme!
So if you have nothing better to do,
let me just explain to you
how today was a very interesting day,
I’m not sure it really went my way,
I think it started in 3rd,
When I started a new class, and felt awkward
then along came PE also known as phys ed
where my friend came up to me and said, “Hey, isn’t that your crush over there?”
I prayed to god that he hadn’t heard.
eventually it was time for Language arts
in which I considered myself pretty smart
but then my teacher read my poem aloud
and i felt pretty proud
but afterwards there was a silence, before they all clapped
to me it sounded flat.
And finally, before i thought it could get worse
7th came to me like a curse
I told my friend about my crush and she yelled out
“YOU LIKE HIM?” and pointed
And by the end of the day I was feeling utterly disappointed
in how my day
had seemed to just wither away.
The color Sun Beam
Sun Beam is a young girl
who's cheery and bright
it's like her face is glowing even at night
She can be found on the beach
sleeping on the sand
or at the park
playing with friends
Her long, wavy hair
she keeps pulled back
then smooths out her skirt
and slips on her flats
She'll step outside
to take a long nap in the sun
or wait for something exciting
to wonder along
for even though she's happy
it seems life's always the same
she longs for some awaited adventure
to call out her name.
And when Sun Beam is sitting alone
it seems she has a mind of her own
and sometimes she'll wonder
if cheerfulness is the only feeling
that she'll ever know.
